Hope Show is held every year on August Bank Holiday Monday and is a great Peak District day out for all the family.
The show includes, Sheepdog trials, show jumping, Horse Showing heavy
horses, alpacas, cattle and sheep, including rare breeds, gundog
competitions, vintage cars and motorbikes, vintage tractors and
engines, horticultural tent and crafts. along with lots of children’s
attractions.
The show is a major show in the Peak District in the Autumn and
attracts large crowds from all over. Each year there are plenty of
stands including food, drink and plenty more.
These kind of agricultural shows have been around since mid
eighteen hundreds and give the local farmers the chance to show to the
public and judges their expertise and livestock.
The livestock tent can be very noisy but is ecxcellent to get close to some of these wonderful animals.
Hope Show horse event is always well attended and has groups from all
ages competing, it is always a treat to see the Shire Horses in all
their magnificence.
If you need a rest then pop into the beer tent and enjoy some local ales.
The Hope Show offers a great mix for everyone, if you enjoy classic
cars, vintage tractors and motorbikes then you will have a treat in
store.
